The True Idolatry of Muslim Extremism

Over the past few weeks, rioting in Europe and the Middle East has been spawned by cartoons depicting Muhammad in an unpleasant, though possibly accurate, manner. Muslim extremists are outraged by this so-called blasphemous "idolatry" of others through caricatures, even though versions of the cartoons were published in Islamic media as well as those that appeared in the Danish press and in other European newspapers. A few questions immediately come to mind, however. If non-Muslims are "infidels", how can these extremists expect the rest of the world to act as if we were Muslim? How can the non-Muslim world be expected to have in-depth knowledge about every obscure tenet of Islam? And given the violent and vicious actions of these countless Muslim extremists, how can they ever expect to receive any respect of their beliefs if these beliefs produce nothing but hatred and brutality?


Sadly, their fanatical legalism is often politically motivated. Increasing evidence demonstrates that these recent flames of mayhem have been fanned by self-serving political hacks posing as religious leaders in the Middle East and in Europe. Muslim extremists should consider trading in their fanatical legalism for a dose of personal responsibility, which has been historically nonexistent and is still absent. They would serve themselves and the rest of the world well by exchanging their complete self-righteousness for a measure of humility and grace.

Yet again, these thugs and murderers wreak havoc on their own countrymen and innocent victims, all in the name of "Allah". Yet again, their practice of ungodly politics is only thinly veiled under an obvious and unfortunate façade of counterfeit spiritualism. Their inconsistency of action and depravity of spirit contradict their endless claims of godliness.

However, these riots are the latest evidence of a much more serious idolatry that should, in fact, have the undivided attention of these Muslim extremists. They themselves are showing their own true idolatry: their seething hatred, their propensity for utter lack of any culpability, and their inclination toward threats, violence, destruction, and murder. Despite what they claim about "Allah", these are the things that are their true god.

Without meaning any disrespect, I suspect that Muhammad himself would agree that this underlying idolatry of self-centeredness and self-righteousness spawned from the pits of hell is much more critical than anything caused by potentially disrespectful cartoons. Furthermore, I believe "Allah" would be appalled by this pattern of hatred, destruction, and death and would be ashamed that it is perpetually attributed to him.

My Western sensibilities are angered by the violence and inconsistency of these heinous riots. But my Christian heart and mind are saddened and grieved as I witness the grip that Satan has on these people. And I must apply to myself the question I previously asked about Islam’s view of "infidels": I cannot expect unsaved humanity to act any differently than it does.

Muslims, like every other human, have the problem of a heart contaminated by sin, which will ultimately result in death. Muslims, like every other human, need God’s forgiveness and grace. However, His forgiveness and grace cannot be found through following the words of the Quran or the teachings of Muhammad. There is only one Way...only one Door...to having peace with the one true God. God’s forgiveness and grace are only available through the complete sacrifice of Jesus Christ.

For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23

Islamofascist extremism is embedded into text of the Islamic scripture known as the Quran. They are very deceived yet very devoted. How many Christians pray 5 times a day for example. If those that call themselves Christians were as devoted to the Way of Jesus Christ as Muslims were to their deceived prophet Mohammed, I believe the power of prayer would convert muslims to the One True God.

No such animal as "Muslim extremist" - all Islam is extreme

P. Buchanan's recent article (WND.com) about the port matter has gotten the point wrong.
Other recent writers/pundits have made the same error in judgement
about the enemy.

We Americans are not antiArab
One can be Arab and not Islamic.
One can be Cuban and not Marxist.
One can be German and not sickLiberal/Nazi.
One can be AmerIndian and not Pagan.
One can be American and not Sodomite/secularHumanist.
One can NOT "re-consider or have a Reformantion" of Quran/Hadith and
continue a Muslim - you have crossed the line to "Infidel" and are
marked for execution (by ShariaLaw) as an apostate.

Enough Americans (hence the "FriendOrFoe radar" hit driving the 22
ports matter)understand that Islam is not a religion but an
ideology and as such the IslamicNation has returned to its'
historic quest (aka,Caliphate_Returns) to destroy all who oppose
its' world conquest agenda - "convert or die, infidel".

We Americans are anti-IslamicNation and by extension
we Americans are anti-IsalmicNazism/Marxism (fascism is too "nice
term").
Where IslamicNazism/Marxism = advocating the Islamic state socialist
agenda (rule by oligarchs, aka Sheiks).
Regardless of "all the other peaceful Muslims", the Islamic state
is not peaceful nor is it benign.
It decieves its "non-Muslim friends" and Quran/Hadith encourges all of
its' "soldiers" to deceive the "Infidels" whenever and whereever necessary.
When Islam considers me (hello Infidels!!) their enemy then it is
only prudent for me to consider them as the same and act accordingly.

Have you seen the latest "IslamicNazi" poster on the InterNet -
"God Bless Hitler" ?
The historical connection of Islam to Nazism/Marxism/Socialism is
there for those who are not aware of it or not convinced by the
facts (see C.Morse's "Nazi Connection to Islamic Terrorism").
The Grand Mufti Amin al-Husseini (akin to Cardinal or Bishop) of
Jerusalem (circa 1936-48 and Yassar Arafat's uncle) was the main
architect of A.Eichman's "Final Solution" methods.
He was a driving force to murder all European Jews rather than deport
them to British Palestine or other non-European countries.

We are at war with the IslamicNation (Caliphate_Returns).
Bush is wrong to suggest this is a "War on Terror".
It is the "3nd Islamic War" and to try and foist the notion that
Islam is a "religion of peace" is "aiding and abetting the enemy".

We are at war with Islam(Nation) and that recognition
is what's driving the common sense furor against Bush's globalist
machinations which are at their root - against American sovernty.

The historical connection between islam and Marxism?

Now that would be something interesting. Let's first consider that religion in any form is anathema to marxists and that Stalin suppressed all forms of organised religion, Russian Orthodox Christianity and Islam included, it would seem strange for there to be any connection between the two. Marx himself wrote that the oriental peoples were incapable of escaping the despotic regimes that oppress them, and hence the only way for the workers to be free was through colonial rule (Perhaps Messrs Bush and Blair have been doing some night time reading of the Das Kapital in their desire to liberate the world by imposing democracy). One example of Stalin's oppression of Muslims living under soviet rule - the forced expulsion of practically the entire male population (above a certain age) of Chechnya to the gulags of Siberia.

If this is the historical connection you are refering to, then you are correct - Marxism and islam are incompatible - just as christianity and stalinism are.

Perhaps I am just nitpicking, but could someone please explain the "possibly accurate" part of this?

Which of the cartoons was possibly accurate? Could it be the one which made the Prophet look like a Sikh with a large curly mustache (all these coloured people look the same after all - swarthy, hairy, and shifty looking - so why differentiate between them?) with a bomb in his turban?

Since there are no pictures of Prophet from his life time, it seems hard to think how can anyone suggest they were accurate.

Unless of course, accuracy intended to be the message of the Prophet, i.e. he is the original terrorist and the root of all evil? Perhaps a quick glance at a biography might be helpful, there are numerous, even written by non-muslims (us infidels). However, it does strick me as a little strange that western educated orientalists, such as Bernard Lewis and Gerald Hawting (two of the most distinguished from London's School of Oriental and African Studies), who have spent a life time studying Islam and its Prophet, would not support this thesis. They are certainly no lovers of Islam, but it seems that silly old thing called objectivity getting keeps getting in the way.

In any case, was the "possibly accurate" addition to the sentence even neccessary? After all viciforous sam goes on to suggest:

But all this talk is in vain...why don't we simply go to their countries, kill their leaders and convert them all to Christianity - just like Jesus taught, right?
